What is Movie News After Dark? It happens nightly. It’s about movies. Sometimes television, too. It’s written by a guy who thinks he’s funny. He is often wrong.

We begin this evening with a quick programming note. For the second time in the history of this column, we will be celebrating a week of guest entries. Once again, members of the FSR staff have come forward to pledge their swords to the battle for excellent nightly movie news link-dumps. I will be away doing my usual moving and shaking, while the likes of Nathan Adams, Kevin Carr, Luke Mullen, Kate Erbland and a doubtfully sober Robert Fure will be taking the reigns. I have faith that you will all survive their week of debauchery. I bid you to go with god. Above, Bane reacts to this news in a new image from The Dark Knight Rises.

In times past, we have featured the work of claymation animator Lee Hardcastle. We’ve also sung the praises of Gareth Evans’ action film The Raid. Now the two have come together in a claymation version of The Raid that is certain to blow your mind. It’s also got plenty of kitties. Enjoy, Internet.

The folks at Comic Book Movie have collected together a gallery of gorgeous Avengers concept art from artists Nathan Schroeder and Steve Jung, showing off some of the locations, fight sequences and landscapes in Joss Whedon’s massive superhero team-up film. Here are two examples:

The Hollywood Reporter has a fun Q&A with Roger Ebert about the “wild past” of Cannes.

Devin Faraci has an interesting, if completely unserious theory about Alice Eve’s Star Trek 2 character. If only…

The folks at Flickchart continue to countdown The 20 Sexiest Movies You’ve Never Seen.

Back to the Future star Tom Wilson, who played Biff, would like you to ‘Stop Asking Me the Question.’

The folks at Mondo have a rundown of upcoming Mondo/Drafthouse events that will feature posters on sale. There’s so much great stuff happening, if you live in or around the Austin area. This King Kong poster is also pretty boss:

We close tonight’s quick and dirty multimedia extravaganza with a little bit about Community. First, I’m still glowing with the knowledge that it will be coming back, as is the blogosphere. Hollywood.com has published a list of 10 Community Episodes That Couldn’t Exist Without Dan Harmon. Also, last night’s episode provides us with one quintessentially great Abed moment, plucked from a field abloom with great Abed moments. This one is for all you Brett Ratner fans out there. You’re a bad person…

I will catch you all on the flip-side. That is, if you survive Guest Week…
