What is Movie News After Dark? It’s a nightly entertainment news column that keeps it brief, kicks it into high gear without mercy and delivers all the news that you may or may not have seen elsewhere, depending upon how hard you’ve been looking.

We begin this evening with Zombie Spock. No, there’s not much of a good reason for it. It was found via /Film and can be purchased on a t-shirt, which you can then wear around and show off to your friends. Don’t ever say that we don’t provide valuable public service announcements.

And now on to Game of Thrones. Two things. Both of them involve Pajiba’s Joanna Robinson. Don’t deny that you, like me, have a nerd crush. Okay, so maybe it’s just me. Anyway, she’s written a delightful list of 41 Reasons Why We’ll Miss Game of Thrones. There’s also a final episode of A Clash of Kings with Joanna and /Film‘s David Chen for your listening pleasure. The discussion around this show would go on for days and days, if I had my way.

As you may know by now, science fiction legend Ray Bradbury passed away today. Many words have been written about his unending contributions to the genre, but a few have stood out in my eyes. One is an essay Bradbury wrote for The New Yorker about his own inspirations. The other is a well-written obit from Peter Sagal at NPR.

Artist James White made this very cool poster for No Country for Old Men. It’s worth looking down:

Joel Kinnaman is talking Robocop.

With all the talk of new Marvel movies, The Playlist has a list of 5 Actors Who Could Play Black Panther.

Those who have been watching this season of Mad Men will note that Jaguar has been a big part of the happenings at Sterling Cooper Draper Price, including being a huge lynchpin in last week’s shocker of an episode. Now the real Jaguar is talking Mad Men over at Jalopnik. Imagine the horror.

Digital vs. Film. It’s all the rage. Like HBO vs. Piracy, or Roe v. Wade. The Philadelphia Inquirer has a list of Six American Filmmakers Still Using Film, including that guy who’s about to release his third Batman movie. Also in The Dark Knight Rises related news, Screen Rant picks 15 Batman Villains That Deserve Their Movie Due, should Warner Bros. decide to make a bunch more Batman movies (spoiler alert: they will).

Today also brings two more pieces of Damon Lindelof news, because guess what, that Star Trek producer/Prometheus writer guy Damon Lindelof just keeps talking. Lindelof spoke to Movies.com about Prometheus and why he feels like a fraud. He’s also been teasing about villains for Star Trek 2. Over at WhatCulture, they’ve got 4 Reasons Why Khan Should Not Be The Villain in Star Trek 2.

We close tonight with The Dark Knight a la Hitchcock. Because the Vertigo score makes The Joker’s heist much creepier:
