SFotD: Pitchfork Presents Dirty Projectors in ‘Hi Custodian’

Why Watch? Twenty minutes is just the right length for a music video, right? Flourishing with discordant, colorful set pieces and a mixed up version of songs from their latest album, David Longstreth has crafted Hi Custodian as a fantastical look into a sweetly deranged mind that’s worth inhabiting for a little while.

Especially with the musician angle, it feels reminiscent of Head, updated for a generation that demands HD and has already cemented what they think the 60s were like. It’s surreal, and the music (while at the forefront) acts as a willing conspirator with the images to surprise and to revel in joyousness.

What will it cost you? Only 20 minutes.
