What is Movie News After Dark? A lot of nightly movie news columns are about life, this one is like a slice of cake.
We begin tonight with the master himself, Alfred Hitchcock. More appropriately, we begin with Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock in Sacha Gervasi’s Hitchcock, the story of the making of Psycho. He’s got a bit of the look, in so much as he had the Nixon look. But as we know, even if he looks like Don Rickles playing Alfred Hitchcock, he’s likely to bring the thunda.
The folks at Movies.com have an interesting set visit piece from the next James Bond film, presenting 10 Big Questions About Skyfall and How the Cast and Creators Answered Them. Lucky for us, they did that second part. Otherwise the article would just be a bunch of questions.
The folks behind a new site called DigiTitles sent some unsolicited mail over to me this morning, talking about their very cool website and all the reasons why I should check it out. Instead of reading the email, I visited the link and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a website that collects behind the scenes videos. The DVD extras junkie inside me went nuts.
What is Your Favorite Stunt Sequence of All-Time? The one in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is pretty solid, as recent films go. How about the mall sequence in Blues Brothers? Or the chariot scene in Ben-Hur? I must know.

With its new deal with Netflix and subsequent rebirth, Arrested Development will debut 10 episodes at once, then maybe possibly hopefully go for a movie. Okay, so they didn’t expressly say that last part, but it’s being inferred. Either way, it’s all coming back.
There’s been a lot of chatter about Lena Dunham’s new show Girls today, the best of which came in an actual article by Roth Cornet at HitFix, Girls just want to change the needle on a tired media record. No matter what you think of the show, you should draw those thoughts from actually seeing it. That’s what I say.
Over at Movies.com, Katie Calautti explores The Five-Year Engagement and Examining the History of Tribeca Opening Night Films, including that one time Shrek Forever After opened the festival. It was a dark time.
