Misas Fugue

Frank “Misa” Grunwald lives in Indiana, but he was born in Czechoslovakia back when that was still a country. In fact, he was born just four months before Hitler came to power as Chancellor of Germany in 1933. As a young boy, he was caught up in the terrors of the Nazi regime whose persecution pushed him through Prague, Terezin, Auschwitz, Mauthausen, Melk, and Gunskirchen.

Misa’s Fugue is his story of survival.

The documentary film from director Sean Gaston — which looks like it might need to provide complementary tissues — doesn’t currently have distribution, but it does have a trailer that boasts compelling subject matter and another new angle on the most widely-covered period of the 20th century.
